Plaza Fountain

So, I haven’t been writing on the third novel in my series for a few years now, there’s no pressure, no fans and no requests on on the first two, nor on any of the other eight books I’ve written. Life has gotten busy, I’ve been writing blog posts, book reviews, book lists, I’ve been creating recipes that no one is interested in for cookbooks that no one is buying. I’ve been fighting health issues that take up way more time than I’m comfortable telling you about.

I got married last month-an honest-to-goodness, legal in the eyes of the law married. Never thought I’d ever have a legal wedding! Yesterday I had to go get more official certified copies of the license so the hubby can update his DL, SS & etc with the new name. I mis-remembered where the courthouse was.  Seattle has so many damn courthouses, law centers, etc, they are easy to misplace. However, I was only two blocks down and two blocks over, which doesn’t sound bad, but the hills in Seattle are almost 70 degrees-uphill.

I almost took a cab or waited for a bus, because with my bad heart, I could see myself having a heart attack climbing those damn Seattle hills. But, it didn’t happen. I found the right floor and office then discovered they don’t take credit cards! Cash or Check only. SO I had to go down three floors to an ATM in the lobby, pay a fee to get the cash, then head up three floors again. By this time, I was so hot, sweaty and tired I wanted to curl up in the lobby and nap. Being 46 will do that to a guy.
