Manning had just entered the lobby of the trade center when a fireball exploded from an , burning over 80 percent of her body.
“For years I’ve been privileged to receive words of thanks and encouragement from people all over the world, often simply asking how I’m doing,” Manning said in a statement. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share my story in the hope it will continue to resonate with people facing challenges in their own lives.”
Manning’s hospitalization was documented in a 2002 book by her husband, Greg Manning, called “Love, Greg & Lauren.”http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=BrickONeil&o=1&p=8&l=bpl&asins=055338189X&fc1=000000&IS2=1<1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr
