“Jarhead” memoirist Anthony Swofford is bringing his story home.
Swofford, the former Marine who wrote of his service in the first Gulf War, is taking on his troubled return to civilian life and his fame from the success of “Jarhead.” Twelve, an imprint of the Hachette Book Group, announced Friday that “Hotels, Hospitals and Jails” will be released in the spring of 2012.
According to Hachette, Swofford’s new book will tell of “drugs, booze, fast cars and women; and the rocky path to reconciliation with his dying father, a veteran of the Vietnam War.”http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=BrickONeil&o=1&p=8&l=bpl&asins=0743287215&fc1=000000&IS2=1<1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr
