Book Review: Ghost Shadow by Heather Graham

>Everyone has a best friend, or someone they see, chat and pal around with every day.  In Heather Graham’s book, “Ghost Shadow”, her main characters best friend just happens to be a centuries-old ghost!

Heather Graham spins a delightful whodunnit with a twist on the Holmes/Watson friendship in Katie O’Hara and her ghostly sidekick Bartholomew.  Katie moves back to her home town, Key West, FL (Heather provides a quick rundown of the state’s southern tip history with a timeline at the beginning of the novel). Katie wants to buy and run the old wax works exhibit where a former hometown boy’s girl was found murdered and elaborately set up.  Now, years later, everyone involved returns to town and Katie is up to her eyeballs in mystery.

The characters are introduced well and fully realized for their intent in this story.  Heather doesn’t rush or complicate the story, nor does she give overflow of exposition.  She lays everything out, in order so the reader can follow. I enjoyed the plot and characters as a fun Sunday read.
