Monday Book Review: The Little Big Italian Cookbook

The Little Big Italian Cookbook: The Bite Size Cook Book That Comes Stuffed with Ideas (Little Big Book of . . . Series)

The Little Big Italian Cookbook: The Bite Size Cook Book That Comes Stuffed with Ideas

This is the last book in “The Little Big” series written by Carla Bardi for Mcrae Books that I could find.  There isn’t a book description on Amazon that I could find, nor is there one on the book, nor is there an introduction to this tiny tome.

It’s 976 full-color picture recipes, and a diminutive 2.4 x 5.2 x 6.1 inches and weighs 2.4 pounds. You could really use two of the ‘little big’ cookbooks in place of weights when you exercise.  They really are, little and big! I will tell you, they are my favorite cookbooks, the first book in the series, indeed of all the cookbooks on my shelf, is ‘The little big vegetarian book”.

This Italian cookbook by Mcrae and Bardi has a bit of everything, breads, pastas, meats, seafoods and desserts. The recipes themselves are easy to read and easy to follow, and there are recipes for everyone and every level of cooking talent.  The recipes incorporate different foods together that American Cooks may not think of.  These liven up meal times and make for a welcome change at any table.

Although not available at Amazon, there are copies out there at other retailers online and through brick and mortar used bookstores.
