My Take:

I found this in a bargain/clearance sale years ago and have never regretted it.  This clever little cookbook from Fog City Press does have soups for ever occasion, every cuisine and every level of cooking. There are broth soups, cream soups and soups chock full of chunky healthy meats and vegetables.

Each recipe has a full color finished soup with serving suggestion, list of ingredients and preparation instructions that are easy to follow.  Some are simple, and other have a few more steps.  I always say, recipes are like blueprints, change them, substitute as you have on hand in your cupboards and vegetable drawers. Make them your own!

I’ve made many recipes from this little tome, from the minestrone, to the french onion soup to ratatouille-like vegetable soups and the tuscan vegetable soup is not to be missed!

I would recommend The Little Guides Soups to anyone, beginning cooks, retirees, those wanting to eat healthier  and live healthier lives.  I give 5 stars.
