Walking around the local community garden this past week, the Belltown Pea Patch, and saw these gorgeous Calla Lillies. I at first thought they were Orchids. Regardless of their name, the setting was perfect. Lightly raining, bright overcast skies giving the area a surreal look and feel. Life at times feels surreal. You know the feeling? When something looks too bright, too real or too 3-dimensional. You start to question what you are seeing, wanting to reach out and touch it. Life can sometimes fool us into thinking we’re seeing something that isn’t there, be that friendships, relationships, a job or hobby. What happens when our eyes are opened? Do we question life or ourselves? Do we see life for what it is? Just like the Calla Lily, you have to believe in yourself. Believe what you have is real, believe in something you hold dear and the world will fall into place. Sometimes routine can be a blessing: the same route to work, the same friends, the same workout routine. These are the cornerstones to which we hold onto our realities. Also believe there is real beauty in life. Just like the Calla Lillies.
