Resolutions 2014

Welcome to 2014 ladies and gentlemen.

The past years have brought posts on eating healthy, exercising, joining new communities, starting new hobbies, making friends and so forth. Periodically, throughout the year, there have been posts reminding you about keeping on track with your resolutions.  No one responds, so I have no idea if you all are even doing them, it is taken for granted you are keeping up your resolutions throughout the year.

This year, my resolutions are just simple: Keep happy and healthy. Not to get morbid or depressing, but next week is the heart procedure (Drs still aren’t sure what they’ll do–stents or bypass) then in April colon cancer screening surgery (flat polyps were found in the colonoscopy last month). The irony is that my lifestyle is healthy: eating right, exercsing, keeping a pleasant mood, trying to keep good friendships up. In my case, the heart and colon issues were hereditary, rare and just happened. There was nothing I could do to stop them. So this year, my resolution is to surround myself with joy, beauty, nature, friendships.

Business related resolutions are more concrete: The cookbok’s fundraising was enough to get a bare bones cookbook published. That will be the end of the cookbooks.  They have been a 13 year oddesy with many ups and downs. The publisher will send them to me around mid-February then will be looking into marketing, publicizing, offering them to bookstores to sell and so forth. New adventures, for sure. Then, the Biography will be added to this winter and re-published online (the fundraiser for the Alport’s Syndrome Foundation will stll be running, in case the question was just burning in your fingertips). Thirdly, the second novel in the Mystery series needs tweaking so i will do that this Spring and repubish online as well. Finall, write the third book in the Mystery series, with the title and plot all laid out.

So, BrickONeil.com is wishing you a Happy, Healthy 2014.
