Healthy Thursday: Taking Care of Business

I took this at Mt. Si, Washington State, 2010

Apologies for the late Healthy Thursday post, errands kept me out and about all day. Had a follow-up appointment with my Bone & Joint Dr about the Plantar Fasciitis, then off to pick up my medications, finally back home for a nap.

The B&J Dr is happy with the healing of the PF. I’d been wearing the support inserts the past three months, keeping my feet elevated and wearing support sandals around the apartment (also to prevent diabetic foot injuries). He wasn’t too happy with my inserts-saying they were shoddily made and when the renewal time comes around, to let his office do it.  As an added bonus to the good news about the healing, I’ve also lost 10 pounds over the last month! WTG Me!

The pharmacy lost the fax I sent to refill the prescriptions, naturally. I tell you, this pharmacy wasn’t getting my online refill requests for almost a year, only to tell me they were never connected to it!  Talk about frustrating ! As you know, I’m nearly deaf, so I cannot call on the phone to renew the refills. Faxing is my last resort, luckily they had all the medications on hand. The second pharmacy had all refills on hand and ready.

Taking care of [health] business comes number one in my life!  As it should be in yours!
