Monday Book Review: Quick & Easy

Quick & Easy (Super Cookery) by Parragon

Book Description:

Quick & Easy. The inspirational and comprehensive cookbook features 246 delicious recipes for simple and fast, but wholesome dishes for those with a hectic lifestyle. Dishes include soups, salads, appetizers, light snacks, main meals, side dishes and even a range of desserts. Here you have all the guidance you need to follow a healthy, nutritious, as well as speedy diet!

My Take:

Quick & Easy does have a wide range of recipes garnered from around the world, the recipes themselves are not difficult.  If you can fry, boil, bake and know how to hold a knife and chop, dice and slice, you can follow any recipe in this cookbook. They are not the healthiest recipes I’ve ever seen, but with some knowledge of healthy substitutions and what ingredients are bad for you, you can quite easily change the recipes to quick and healthy.

Like with most of these Super Cookery cookbooks from Parragon, the ingredients can be expensive or hard to find here in the United States, but again, with simple and healthier substitutions, virtually any recipe can be followed. They aren’t the healthiest for diabetics, heart disease patients or others with health issues, but those of us know how to change out the ingredients.

You will find tried-and-true recipes that are indeed quick and easy, along with new ideas you may not have thought about before. I easily give 4 stars.
