Fitting for the Tuxes-9 days till the Wedding

Joseph & Feiss White One-Button Shawl Lapel Dinner Jacket (1795)

We went to Men’s Wearhouse, after some bigwig called the store to make an appointment for us when they wouldn’t return BF’s two phone messages. I had to make a public complaint on Twitter that they were ignoring us to rent tuxedos to us for our wedding. We got there and were helped by the assistant manager, I’m guessing, who was very professional.

Turns out the tuxedo we wanted wasn’t available in BF’s size (48 R-yes, he’s beefy & muscular.  Wipe that drool.) The secondary choice of tuxedo was also not available, so the Asst Mgr found a decent third choice and I switched mine to the same style, so we would match.

My turn came and he measured all over the place-neck, chest, around arms, down arms, waist,  hips, butt, outseam. I was happy to see my measurements: chest went from 39 to 42, waist went from 39 to 37, unfortunately my butt went from 42 to 39. So all this damn exercising I’ve been doing again the past 8 or so months has really paid off! Even if I lost my bubble butt, lol.

My suit size is 42 S, if you’re wondering, with pants 36×28, shoe size 9w.
