Replacing Old Technology

Amazon’s new Fire HD 8 tablet has caught my eye! Especially the “Tangerine”, having longed for an orange phone, tablet or reader.

My old technology, TC1100 that is around 10 years old, a 3 or 4 year old Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101 is agonizingly slow now (even after 3 flashes and reloads) and an original Amazon Fire HD reader that was gifted to me about 2 years ago. They are ok but out of date and no longer run many applications, browsers or software.

Now the new Fire is cheap but i’m not going to be writing on it or using it as a workhorse. I need a new reader, light tablet and entertainment center. What are your thoughts? Click the link to comment on my website’s blog.
