These past few weeks, I’ve been writing on a new novel, a paranormal witch and wolf story. I’ve been putting off books 3-4-5 in the Rose Petal Wine Murder Mysteries for years, because of storylines, health issues and depression. I”m off to a good start on the new novel and the other three books in the series. Do I write every day? No, because i have depression and anxiety, however, I’ve been treating them and making headway into getting my mind and life back together after a few awful years.
So, the new novel, I’ve been working on the past few weeks is currently at 40K words and 160 pages. There’s still a lot more to write. This is the book I’ve been calling the Dream Book, on twitter. This isn’t a book about dreams, but a book that came to me in a dream. Country Tried Chicken, my first gay cozy, came to me in a dream as well, along with my first paranormal wolf-vampire novel, Never Trust The Moon and my gay-friendly kids book, Under the Woodlands. My mind is always working, even when I’m asleep.
Also, the storylines for the Rose Petal Wine books are coming along great! There’s a smooth flow for the overall arcing characters and storyline; individual book storylines and characters are getting changed around from book to book. Switching my mind from writing a cozy to paranormal to noir takes effort but I’m still excited about each and every book.
