We’re in the beginning of Winter, which typically means dark overhead skies, rain, snow, sleet and slush. There isn’t much sunshine or bright colors, which brings us to wearing or carrying brighter colors. Winter colors are usually dark grays, browns, blacks or richer gemstone colors. For January I’ve mentioned the colors are Dark Green, like Army, Forest, Moss and Sage.
The great thing about bags and colors, is you’re not just stuck with one color per season or month. Yes, I’ve mentioned one color for January’s Winter, but as I show above, you are free to mix and match colors from other seasons and months! I’ve matched the Winter dark greens with October’s Breast Cancer Awareness and February’s Valentine’s Pink, July’s and February’s hot Red and Spring’s/April’s bright green!
When dark colors get to you this Winter, think about breaking out Summer’s Bright Yellow hobo bag or early Fall’s shocking Orange. Want the best of both worlds? Pick the yellow large tote with a couple smaller orange clutches. Brighten your dark days with bold colors. Be careful not to carry or wear too many bright colors all at once. Your aim is to add some color, not overwhelm your brain and eyes with too much.
